Scrim cloths are essential for an outdoor Leave No Trace kitchen. Once laid flat on the ground beneath your cooking area, the scrim cloth will catch any food particles that fall to the ground during food prep and cooking. Dirt and sand slip right through the screen fabric, so when it comes time for cleanup you’re only throwing out those scraps of food. Leaving food scraps behind can cause wildlife to be attracted to the campsite. Use of a scrim cloth helps prevent this from happening.
